Description
JavadKhanThe area is linked by a 2 km kacha road from the main Nawan kili Torwarsak link road to the west and about 4 km from the main Daggar-Saidu road to the north. A huge deposit of Carara Marble with very favourable topography exists here. The deposit is almost gently dipping ,very feasible for bench making. The mine is in working condition and almost 08 working faces are producing some 2500 tons of semi square Block per month. The hand pick of the deposit (kanda) is also supplied to the local dolomite powder market. The beds of the deposit are thick and 20% blocks of standard dimension and 40-50% blocks smaller than standard dimension can be recovered. The photos of the area are attached which clearly shows thick beds with almost nil joint spacing in the lower beds. On the upper layer some 2-3m spaced joints are seen. Work can be started with state of the art equipment very easily to the west of the deposit on upper level which will not affect the existing mining activity and will also provide a platform for placing machinery and will allow for development of benches. As the whole area is composed of workable deposit and it is unwise to construct road in such a situation to reach to the top .When the ist platform is made and a cut is made into the side hill the machinery should be moved to upper platform through ramp of the waste produced by the ist cut and a new cut would be made at the side hill ,so as to construct a no of benches for nonstop extraction of blocks
